Kinsale deserves food lovers’ respect.

It was way back in 1977 – when a huddle of Kinsale restaurateurs created the first Gourmet Festival – that the idea of an Irish town as a food destination took flight.

Here was a new template for collective action, with no fewer than 11 restaurants gathered under the umbrella of the Kinsale Good Food Circle, founded just the previous year.
